Leader wanted a
and my sister
wanted a
or a
(wiener) dog to let
them know if they were ok with getting me home so it wasn't that much
of a surprise. He bought me all my puppy essentials in the first day.
By the time I came home, I was the most lazy dog you'd ever met.
Anyway, he chose me because I was tugging at his pants. He saw it as a
puppy thing but my leader thought I was showing dominance. I got over
that once my puppy days were over and because my leader said so.
From leader about the prey drive,"Terrier and Hound: Dangerous Combination!":
Rocky has a really extreme pray drive. He is part terrier, hot-headed to the bone, and part scent hound, with a really strong nose. He knows the word "Pajaro" (bird), which no one taught him that but eventually picked it up. I kept seeing Rocky and Olivia go outside and then go back to their usual self. That little bit of change made me think something went on outside. There was a baby bird dead outside. I don't know if Rocky killed it or that if fell from its nest. I didn't see any nest but there were always many birds outside and they even managed to get inside our home too. He has tried getting near a goose but the goose responded back with a warning so it only went as far a long stare. The ducks he just stares and forgets about them now because there really isn't much excitement from them to get rilled up about. He has killed many insects, any little living thing with wing, and has been stung by a bee twice. Good thing he doesn't have a bad reaction to bees. Hehas killed so many flies that he even had to be dewormed from tapeworms. He had even gotten a hold of a stray kitten but I took the kitty from him before it was too late. The cat is now in a safe home. Right now he has this thing with wanting to get the neighbor's cat that likes to tease him at night. He recognizes him by his bell collar and the fact that he knows that every night the cat appears. My cousins that we usually visit in holidays have two pet chickens and Rocky is out there trying to catch them. Good thing that they have a huge cage because if not, those chickens are history. Ironically, he doesn't like eating raw chicken or anything that is part chicken. He does like going after squirrels but because he only sees them in the walks, he doesn't go after them. He's more into the walk than into the squirrels. He has seen a dead squirrel but once dead, he doesn't pay attention to them anymore. He didn't kills that squirrel though. We saw the squirrel dead during one of our walks.
The Night Cat: I think the cat deserves to be told. First off, like I said, I do have a prey drive due to my terrier side. At first, I loved chasing after fleas, catching them and killing them. I still do but then I saw the "Pajaros" (birds). By the way, I do understand the word "Pajaro" because I would hear leader and mom say it when I was going after them. They actually would come inside my home! I caught up and just learned it, just like my other spanish words. Then, they went away because mom got new shading outside. Oh, did I tell you about the bees? Well, I like chasing after bees and butterflies too. I have been stung by bees twice! I just had ice put on me. Now, let me tell you of the CAT. The cat likes to come at night on the backyard and tease me. That's right, tease me! The cat actually looks at me and stares at me. I know exactly at what time the cat comes around AND I also know because I hear it's little collar bell too. I have found where the cat lives. Yep, the cat likes to stare at us when we are walking outside and pass by it's home.
My energy level: medium to high energy. Before Olivia, oh that serious Olivia, I used to be at a really high energy level, which was not good.

Favorite Walk: Anywhere! I love taking different roots so I know diferent ways to get back home if I ever get lost. Love to walk in the beach and park (love the dog park).
Favorite Bathroom Spot: Outside. Trees, grass, poles, firehidrens, bushes, dirt, black bags, doggy pads (I guess).
Favorite Food/Treats: Nature's Variety Raw Food Diet, EVO/Orijen, The Honest Kitchen, carrots, grass, bones. Our leader serves us raw food and doesn't give us anything with grains or by-product and non of that junk that most dog foods have.

Tricks: Being a pack follower is what I do best. I am Bilingual (English and Spanish); plays dead on hot days, then again, I don't like hot days! I AM AWESOME AT STARING CONTESTS. Watch Frasier's Eddie? Yeah like that.I know how to push the button for the window
Pet Peeves: NO WALKS, BEING BORED, AND NOT BEING WITH MY PACK; water; rain; bananas; hot days; disturbed when I sleep; not having a bone; technology crazed humans.

My right to life. My right to bark. My right to be dog. I am Mother Nature's animal. Dog's don't got nationalities. We have the right to roam and live in this world just like everyone else.
(No, no, guys, I am not being taken to the shelter.) Support your local shelter and give an animal their right to life and give them their barking license.
Leader wanted a
and my sister wanted a
or a
but got
THE OLIVIA.
My Appearance: All right, I'll woman up and say it, I'll show you my own beauty. I got a bit of my Chi head. I got weard looking ears thanks to dad. I got big eyebrow markings that are bigger than my eyes. Speaking about my eyes, If I wear a muzzle, you can't even tell I have eyes! I got a couple of moles on my face. I got a bit of a bald spot on each side of m head because of my Chi head. I bearly have any hair at all (baldnesss is beautiful) and my bottom part of my body starting from my neck to my tail is mostly bald. The vet thinks someone shaved me but nope, I was born that way. Because of that, some think I may be part Toy Manchester Terrier. I had mange when I was little that is still growing. The vet helped a bit but raw meat did a way better job as it is boosting my immune system. I have a little piece of tan hair on the side of my one ear that looks like I have a flea/tick under there. I don't by the way. I got a small, not so sturdy tail like a terrier's would. I had so many health issues during my first year including allergies (ashy skin), which is now smooth thanks to raw meat and baby shampoo. My nails are so long and thick that I have to have them Dremeled. My legs are so long that when I was litte, my paws were are big as Rocky's. He's got big dog's paws. My legs grew so long that when I was a pup, I climbed a big wall on my own. My legs are so long that I hardly even have a chest. My LEGS ARE SO LONG, that when I lay down, my back legs touch to my nose and ears! Call me Olive Oyl if you will. Even she had the boys turning their heads.
Me as Animal: I am very sensitive to energy. I only follow calm-assertive energy. I will pick at you if you have negative energy. I can't really tolerate excited/aggression energy. I will discipline that energy until they are calm. My great students were Rocky and Pancho, and they were really out of control. I just love having my peace. For survival, we have to keep a good energy. My energy level is low. Because I eat raw meat/ raw bones, I am now at a medium energy level. I usually tend to watch other dogs play in the pack or Rocky play with my leader and check that everything is under control. I don't tolerate Rocky playing rough with my leader. I take it as he is hurting her so I let him know it's not okay to that to leader. Leader usually tells me that she will handle it. That's why I am called Leader's Right Hand.
Me as Dog: I was the Alpha of my litter. My sister was the submissive one and my brother was active submissive. When Rocky and I first met at my dog mom's house, it was fine. Within the first 5 seconds of our second meeting at my new home, I striked him because he was not allowed to smell the leader. Who ever is smelled needs to surrender and be submissive. Also, I didn't want a mate to breed. I refused and even to this day, despite the fact I am spayed. Dogs who are not neutered want to mate with me but it ain't happening bro. Well, of course the relationship has changed and I cannot be away from Rocky. We protect each other.
Me as Breed: Mom is a Chihuahua and dad is a black and tan Dobie (yes, that's right). I don't care much about the breed because that is just the outfit of the dog in me. I've been called Rat Terrier, Min Pin, and Toy Manchester Terrier. Despite that, for sure people know I got Chihuahua so they know I am a mutt without even asking my breeds. Above it all, to my leader is all the same because I am "dog and animal before breed and personality". Anyway, I got my mom's eyebrow markings. Because my original owner, a college kid, didn't spay mom I was born. I was born in Riverside, CA. and I was part of a litter of three. All of us in the litter were black and tan. I don't have a lot of pictures of when I was a pup. In fact, I only have two. One is when I was with my original owner and with mom. The other one shows me growing a bit of a Chihuahua head later on. I can't really describe much of how exactly I looked better than pictures so I
posted some below. These pictures are NOT me but rather those found under image search using yahoo/google. My leader will try to get the pictures my brother's girl has. She has more pics of me they took together.

Rottie pup, fuzzy hair THIS ONE IS THE MOST
like me. Many rottie's do SIMILAR TO ME by the
have fuzzy hair at first. time I came to live with
my new pack. She's a
rescue my leader once
helped adopt with a organizaiton.
She's a rottie (mix?).
My Personality: I am very serious and discipline with my eyes. I am constantly called "Maria Felix", a mexican actress known as La Doña. She was known for her eyebrows. "Her beauty and flamboyant personality propelled her to international stardom and icon status..", which the pack thinks I know how to carry very well.
I am very affectionate and always ask permission to give kisses and wet willies. I'll even ask permisson to sleep with you and to go outside to release myself. Every morning Rocky and I give kisses and lick each other and then we go outside to sunbathe for a bit until our leader gets ready for our morning walk. I do walk by my leader's side. I love when my family sings. How do they do that? I never played when I was a puppy so I am just starting to play and boy did I missed out! I My leader says I have a beautiful play because I don't like rough playing, always release when she tells me to, and sit down or stay calm for her to throw the toy around again. I like to carry my stuffed toys around but I don't destroy them. I am not a destructive type dog
either and rarely play. I am a sleepy head and I only like to sleep with my leader because she knows my best comfort. I love to follow my leader around and I get along great with other girls. I love the calm and submissive ones too. I love belly rubs (meaning I am submissive to my family). I am not ashamed to admit my wrongs (like when I go potty where I'm not allowed...sorry mom). I have a great eye sight and hearing. Rocky does the smelling. I understand when I am not allowed to eat taple scraps (begging reasons and because leader wants me eating raw instead and because it doesn't sit well in my stomack) but rather my own food. I will respect your boundaries if you know how to ask for it. I also like to be ignore in our first mee
ting, no but's. It's a must I go by the pack rules so we can have a nice relationship together. I am always ready to have my collar put on me every morning and sit down calmly for it. When we are ready to go for a walk, I like to follow my leader calmly until we are ready to go. I am always ready to have my leash put on, calmly. I don't like when someone gets my paws or have them handled. Because my leader uses a Mini-Mite Dremel for my nails, my leader has to work with me more than Rocky. Rocky doesn't mind at all. She just has me sit down and she gets my paw and dremels away. She doesn't want to corner me nor hold me down. I don't like treats so she uses her energy. Oh, and most of all, I love my dad. I'm his little girl and his Muneca! My leader says that dad's energy attracts dogs to love him. Even Pancho.
My Health: I've had health problems since I was a puppy because of improper breeding. My leader never gave up on me. My mom said to my leader that she was afraid I wasn't going to live a long life. My leader believes in quality rather than quantity but if there's a way to add quantity, that's even better. I refused to eat kibble so I decided to go on a hunger strike. I was also allergic to cook meat and grains so again, hunger strike. My leader decided to just feed me raw food and raw bones (have you seen how clean those wolves' teeth are!) and my health has been much better and so has my energy. I have also lost the 2 pounds I gained while eating "fast food" kibble. i don't have ashy skin anymore thanks to the baby shampoo. This is just an indepth of who I am but for the most part, I am submissive to my family. My leader is working with me with the rest of the world. I have along way to go still because like I said, I am very sensative to energy.

"I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn's rain. When you awaken in the morning's hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in the circled flight.
I am the stars that shine at night.
Please stand not at my grave and cry,
I don't actually live with Rocky and Olivia but they are my second home. Their my cousins because our packs our cousins. Their leader is also my leader so that makes me part of their pack. We hang out together and are there to discipline me when a pup needs too. That's cool, they are great at it. On weekends I usually hang with them and sleep over! My boys are being taught by her. They trust her so much that they made her my caretaker and leader too. My youngest boy always said, "Every boy needs his dog."
He practically begged mom to get me. She did and here I am. He
picked me because he wanted a boy and Olivia to be the only girl. Boys can be more fun if I do say so myself. Girls, they can be such ladies. I was brought home on "Cinco De Mayo" so grandma picked my name, "Pancho". About my breed, I was told I was Chichuahua/Dachshund mix but my leader may think I may be a Rat Terrier and Chihuahua mix. My ears are fully erect now. I may grow up to be as tall as Olivia. And she's tall!
My energy level: high energy of course. I'm a puppy still! Olivia is second in comand on discipline and Rocky third because they know better as older dogs. Rocky is more a big teddy bear. He'll let me pull his ears and lick his mouth. I love chasing his tail!
UPDATE from my leader: He was such a great dog. He loved everybody and everything. Always to see his family and wanting to always follow you around. He was an awesome addition to the pack. His teacher Olivia had just graduated him from puppy classes because she felt he was ready. She would actually start playing with him. He was always full of life. So much energy to give that infact, Olivia has now started to be more energetic. I guess a piece of the "Pancholin" rubbed onto her. Rocky lost a great playmate and partner. Rocky is so full of energy too that he was happy to meet another boy who knew how to be boys. He was the "Swee'Pea" to Olive Oyl and Popeye. Pancho had the most beautiful face. He had those "Puss In Boots" eyes and his ears were bigger than his face but always alert. He had the cutest underbite too! He died of a deadly virus unfortunately that hits hard during the summer here and his body couldn't fight it, but he was always a strong fighter to us. He was soo young but his energy was greater than anything. He died in the comfort of the home and his ashes would be with his family because he still part of the pack.

more vids below!
Our first dogs were a couple of Mexico's dogs. I don't really recall them because I was a little kid at the time and the rest of the pack is not so good with breeds.
My sister pointed out once at the dog park a dog that looked exactly like the one we had. It was a Samoyed.
My sister said the other one was a Chihuahua, very aggressive little dog.
The other one was a pitt bull mix. White with brown spots.
Then we had another one that by the looks of a photo, looked a lot like a Rhodesian Ridgeback. That was dad's right hand. It once jumped out of the car and never returned. Dad had found it weird because the dog new the streets very well. Someone had caught it and chained him up outside. One day when my dad was working, the dog smelled my dad's scent and broke out of its chained and jumped back into the car. I know, sounds like something from the movies but it's true.
My brother had a dog that died when he was a kid and it was to be his right hand dog. The dog always walked my brother to school and back to school. One day my brother went inside the classroom and mom and the dog always walked back home together. Well, the dog one day reacted and didn't see my brother that it took off and got hit by a car. My brother of course saw it all when he came out to see what was happened. The dog died right there and my brother cried so hard that he didn't want another dog ever again.
Our first dog since then has been Rocky who my brother brought home. Rocky is now a proud member of the Former Escape Artist. Then came the little aggressive Chihuahua, Olivia. Also, the other Chi, Panchita, white with brown spots.
The walk: a good walk builds a bond with your pack, establishes leadership, focus and balance, mental and physical workout, social behavior, and is the best affection a dog can get. Most of all, a good walk gets rid of 60% of issues and the rest, with constinous work, is a ripple effect that it is easier for the rest of the issues to get rid of.

Cesar Millan Day Every Friday!
-Leader's Pick: I do warn you that these two videos
contains a severe dog fight but I will assure you that this
dog was being rehabilitated by Cesar Millan. This was
Cesar's toughest case yet. The dog did became balanced
after all with the help of The Dog Whisperer.
-Leader's Pick: This is another tough case by Cesar Millan
The Dog Whisperer. This dog has a severe case of human
aggression and therefore has spend most of his life
muzzled. The dog however gets along great with dogs.
-Leader's Pick: Another tough case for Cesar Millan. Here
a powerful breed, a Korean Jindo, needs serious
rehabilitation so they can find a forever home for him. In
the end, his foster home decided to keep him because he
became a healthy, balanced dog.
-Leader's Pick: the notorious little dogs. Being spoiled too
much is likely to lead to not enough exercise and
discipline, which in turn is not enough leadership. "Red
Zone" Chihuahua turned into a happy balanced dog.
Humane Society de Tijuana
(FRIENDS OF HUMANE SOCIETY DE TIJUANA): Animals Have No Nationality
-Leader's Pick: Mexico's dogs getting free neuter/spay
services. Visit Humane Society de Tijuana.Because
Mexico's dog are more intuned to their primal side, these
dogs are least likely to e aggressive. They are feared due
to their appearance but once rehabilitated physically,
they can be part of a family thanks to the volunteers.
Mentally, these dogs are balanced.
-Leader's Pick: Los Animales Hablan (The Animals Talk).
Sure they cannot talk but they can sure communicated
using their energy, their body language, and emotions.
Sterelize your dogs/cats. Mother Nature doesn't have
preference in breed. Homelessness can happen to
anyone.
-Leader's Pick: Friends Of Humane Society of Tijuana.
This video speaks for itself. They are already mentally healthy, they just need physical treatment.
-Family Pick: It's our Mexican relative, the happy go-lucky
type!
-Olivia's Pick: The Doberman Gang
-Olivia's Pick: Owner sings a lullaby to puppies. I love
when a human sings. How do they do that?
-Rocky's Pick.
-Pancho's Pick: You gotta love the song. You know you were crying! The lion Christian became the head of his pride. Touching...

-From DDB: Help stop dogs from being chained.
-Leader's Pick: Moby on humane eating. Go Vegan or
Vegetarian. Iknow it can be hard so if you do choose to
eat meat, please choose organically or caged free
products. That way, you know your meal is "humane
eating". Any fast foods out there that serve caged free
food are Burger King. If you live in California, try "The
Spot", they sell Veggie Burgers. Belive me, it sound crazy
but you'd be amazed!
my blog: Dealing Dogs: Class A/B Dealers
Last Chance for Animals
HBO's Documentary: Dealing Dogs
"Each year, 42,000 dogs are sold to veterinary schools and research labs by Class B dealers, who are required by federal law to buy the animals from pounds, shelters and small breeders and to treat them humanely. However, many Class B dealers violate the law. DEALING DOGS exposes the abuses that took place at one of America's most notorious Class B dealers - Martin Creek Kennel in Arkansas."
The Hunte Corporation
license number 43-B-0123
The Hunte Corporation is the largest, if not the largest, broker to pet stores. Many commercial kennels don't sell their puppies directly to pet stores - they sell them to brokers who handle the sale to the pet store. Hunt Corporation does not breed dogs but rather buy or get dogs from random sources. Again, Class B Dealers don't breed but rather get dogs from these random sources including "bunchers".
Pet Store customers are reassured to hear that the USDA inspects the breeding facility that their puppy came from. (In reality, the USDA standards are minimal, violations are hardly ever punished, and the law allows dogs to be confined to cramped cages for life, but most people don't know this).
Now say you bought a puppy from a pet store (sadly) and want to know who was the dealer, go to PetShopPuppies.org to request your free "puppy report". First you will be given general information such as any other reports made against the store and breeder/broker from others who requested a "puppy report". Then you will have the opportunity to obtain USDA files of your Class A/B Dealer for free thanks to PetShopPuppies.org. You will then be given a form to fill out by the USDA to have any further investigations made to your dealer/broker.
Due to the large number of puppy mills,if PetShopPuppies.org does not have any files of your breeder/broker, you can still request a FOIA form here with a charge of $25 or more. You will still be given the opportunity to take action for investigation.
If your dealer is not the following lists, that
means they are UNLICENSED. This means that the USDA does NOT inspect
the
facility and has NO IDEA of what the conditions are like there. Please
check for your breeder/broker under the Class A/B Dealers list FIRST before requesting a FOIA or a "free puppy report". Once you have done
so, you will have the opportunity by the USDA to take action against
your dealer.

Nickname: Pancha, Pancholina.
From: the streets of Southern California
Home Date: September 18, 2006

for the THE PANCHITA who needed to say bye to living on the streets.
Let me update my story, again.
Stray: I was wondering the streets of Southern California searching for a hand to feed me or at least for some affection. I kept going up to some humans but they said no. Everyone would "sho" me away. Then, there was this nice old lady Rocky and Olivia call "Abuela" (grandma). She was looking at me and said to herself, "Look, that dog looks like Panchito". I came to the front steps and greeted her. I didn't leave because I liked her warmth. Pancho's family opened their home to me. I was not wearing any ID or a chip. They gave me food and water.
To find another pack, again: The pack that took me really did want me but unfortunately, they are not allowed pets. Also, since that Papa, who is not part of that pack anyway, said I could not stay due to his duty to the pack financially, didn't want to provide for another mouth. I now live with Rocky and Olivia and am fortunate to have their Papa as my now, who loves dogs. My old pack's youngest member cries for me a lot but leader assures the youngter that it is all right, Panchita is not going anywhere. We still keep in contact as they are Rocky and Olivia's cousins. I have it made here so I am happy with this pack too.
My original pack: The search still continues but it seems that there might not have been one at all. No one has looked for me, even at the shelter. The pack says that around here, when people don't want their dogs anymore, they let them runaway without ID or take them to the shelter. Little is done to rehome or to take to the rescues/organizations. The pack points out my other life with that other pack as this. I do get REALLY scared at angy, or aggressive humans. Even a shout sets me hidng. I might have been punished, not discipline, for my wrongs. The reason I might not bark much is because my other pack might have done some serious punishment if I did. Leader says that it is not low-self esteem issues because I am a proud dog like Rocky but rather that a human made me scared, with their punishments. I might have been an outside dog only. Leader doesn't like packs seperated like that.
Personality: I LOVE FOLLOWING LEADER AROUND! I am very calm and don't bark at strangers. I don't bark at noises outside and I if you get my attention. In fact, I rarely bark. I mean rarely. I will go to you and let you pet me. I listen pretty well when I do something wrong according to leader. I love to follow people around. I love dogs too kids! I like to sleep on the floor. I don't know why. I am not used to sleeping anywhere else. They do put me a blanket on a ground just for me. The only thing I am working on is my potty training. Leader says that over all, I am a "done deal". All the kids in the neighborhood know me. They obviously know Rocky and Olivia.
Rocky and Olivia first meeting: Let me tell you about Rocky and Olivia. When I first saw them, I WAS SCARED! I don't think I've ever seen a dog in my life. I didn't know how to respond. Olivia saw me first and she automatically thought I was Pancho, she says. She wagged at me and was so happy to see me but then she smelled and realized I was no Pancho. I was a girl. She still loved me anyway because she gets along great with the girls and made her peace right away. Rocky on the other hand, saw me and chased after me! He also thought I was Pancho. He says that Pancho and him always used to chase after each other and play tag and wrestle. You know, like boys and terriers do. Then he also realized I was a girl and not Pancho so he decided to be a gentleman. Rocky is such a proud dog and because I was so scared, he let me know it was all right. He was not here to dominate.
Rocky and Olivia now:
Olivia is serious and such a doll. She knows how to play gentle and I love following her around. I am so fascinated about her. I love to look for her when she is asleep under the covers but she doesn't like to be disturbed when she is resting so she tells me so. When she does want to play, she likes to tease me and let's me more fascinated by her! Rocky, what a dog! I play a bit rough so Rocky and I mostly play, while Olivia like a Alpha-born, likes to watch over us and see if leader needs to step in or if leader needs help from her right hand. Oh, that Olivia. At first, I was a bit scared of Olivia because she's Alpha-born but she assured me she liked me. Rocky, he's such a handsome dog! Everybody loves Rocky.
